My rucksack and all its contents (including my sketchbook) got soaked by Tuesday morning's crazy monsoon rain, so this comic is a bit yellowy. I think it adds character.
I commute for 3 hours, four days a week. It's not awful by any means, I get all that time to myself to listen to podcasts, read, sleep but perhaps unsurprisingly it plays a big part in my life. The geographical distance between home and work means that I lead a sort of dual existence and that's mostly a positive thing.
But there's a point in this daily journey where I pass Hadleigh Castle. It's in an enormous expanse of countryside, surrounded by rolling hills and it acts as this sort of mental and physical barrier, blocking out my London existence and any thoughts of work. I am so grateful for that beautiful landmark.
